| A valley and mountain ridges inside the DMZ may seem like a museum of plants because of the absolute variety within the woods. In the mid-eastern mountainous region, there are 517 special plant species, in the mid-western region, there are 550 rare species and in the west coast including the island group, there are 500 special plant species.
