Panmunjom is the only place within the DMZ where it is possible for North and South Korea to hold talks and is a place that holds symbolic significance as a historic site representing the tension and conflict of the Cold War days, as well as the division of the Korean peninsula which has continued for the past century.

There are shuttle rides provided so that visitors can enjoy a safe tour of the tunnel area. Only a limited number of people are allowed on the monorail that leads into the tunnel.
However, we are able to secure rides for visitors who wish to go on the monorail tour of the tunnel through the assistance of Paju City and the War Memorial Museum.
